
Ruth Edgett was raised on the north shore of Prince Edward Island by a born-and-bred Islander father and a mother from "the other side" (Nova Scotia). Ruth spent time as a reporter for The Guardian in Charlottetown and the Evening Telegram in St. John's before becoming a communications consultant in Hamilton. An avid horseback rider and hiker, Ruth lives and writes in Ancaster. A Watch in the Night is her first book.
