
John Terpstra is the author of eight books of poetry, including
Two or Three Guitars: Selected Poems. An earlier work,
Disarmament, was short-listed for Canada’s Governor General’s Award. His poetry has won the CBC Radio Literary Prize and the Bressani Prize, and several Arts Hamilton Literary Awards. A previous non-fiction book,
The Boys, or Waiting for the Electrician’s Daughter was short-listed for both the Charles Taylor Prize and the BC Award for Canadian Non-Fiction. His latest book,
Skin Boat: Acts of Faith and Other Navigations, appeared in 2009 from Gaspereau Press. John lives in Hamilton and divides his working life between writing and carpentry.
